Blogging in the Era of AI: Why Human Experiences Still Matter

With AI generating content at lightning speed, is it still worth starting a blog? 🤔 The answer is both yes and no. While AI provides structured information, it lacks personal experiences, emotions, and deep insights that only a human can offer. In this blog, I share why I decided to start a business and self-learning blog, how real-world experience beats AI-generated advice, and why blogging remains a powerful tool for storytelling, branding, and connection in the digital age. 💡 Can AI replace blogging, or will human experiences always have the upper hand? For a while, I wondered—is it really worth starting a blog in the AI era, where information is readily available at our fingertips? The answer is both yes and no.

No, because AI tools like ChatGPT provide well-structured information from different sources, making research faster and more efficient.

Yes, because AI-generated content lacks personal experience, emotions, and real-life insights—things that make a blog truly valuable. AI gathers data from existing sources, but it doesn’t create new experiences. That’s where human bloggers still have a strong advantage.

The Power of Human-Led Blogging

Many successful blogs thrive because they share real-life stories, unique insights, and personal perspectives. Travel blogs, self-experience blogs, and content that evokes emotions continue to engage audiences far better than AI-generated content.

That’s why I decided to start a business and self-learning blog, where I document my journey in technology and entrepreneurship. This kind of experience-based content can’t be fully replicated by AI.

Even when I use ChatGPT or search engines, I often find a lack of human touch—the depth, emotions, and behind-the-scenes knowledge that come from actually living through a situation.

AI vs. Human Experience: A Real-World Example

Let’s say you search for how to open a resort or restaurant in Jawai. AI will give you general information—market research, legal requirements, and industry trends—all of which are useful. However, it won’t tell you the real challenges of bringing tourists to your resort, how to build relationships with local vendors, or the creative strategies that successful business owners use.

Similarly, when I searched for how to grow my granite business, AI gave me standard advice about marketing and pricing. But real growth came from things AI couldn’t teach me—like networking with people I trust, forming collaborations, and understanding the local industry dynamics.

Some business strategies aren’t documented online—they are learned through hands-on experience.

Why Blogging Still Matters in the AI Era

Even with AI’s capabilities, blogging remains valuable because:
✔️ It builds a personal brand that AI-generated content cannot replicate.
✔️ It provides firsthand experiences that AI lacks.
✔️ It allows emotional connection and storytelling, which AI struggles with.

While AI can assist in content creation, blogging is an art that requires human insight, creativity, and experience. That’s why I believe starting a blog now is more important than ever. 🚀
